Weekend Wrap-Up...

Here is our weekend in photos...

I got my nails done Thursday to get ready for the Bama Game...

Friday Jeffrey and I went to dinner at Los Cucos and then went to see The Debt... It was a great movie and I would totally recommend seeing it

Before the movie I saw this cupcake and just had to have it...
Jeffrey waited patiently while I ate it...

Then after the movie I tripped and fell on our way out... I got this lovely scape and a sprained ankle...

Jeff was such a saint and took really good care of me... Im not sure what was hurt worse, my ankle or my pride...

Saturday morning I met, Rach and her sister Sarah for brunch at one of our favorite places...

I'll give you three guesses where we went  after brunch and the first two don't count...

We hung out and watched football there until the Bama game and then moved our party to Mike and Rach's, ordered pizza and watched the games.

Today has been low key, church, lunch with the soon to be in laws, nap, icing my ankle, and doing a million wedding things that I have put off for far too long!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Freezer Friendly...

Yep that's right... At the Jeff Stevens home were all about freezing meals! Mike and Rach recently got a cookbook called Dinner is Ready and once they tried it out I was just dying to get one! So while I was in Pennsylvania Jeffrey called and informed me that he had a surprise waiting at home for me. When I returned from PA I was beyond excited at the sight of our garage... There it was... A GARAGE FREEZER!!! I have been crying in my beer saying how I really really wanted to make meals and freeze them but there was just no room in our freezer inside. Jeffrey, you're the best!!!
Dinner is Ready is a cookbook that gives you freezer friendly recipes so that you can cook enough meals in one day to last you a month and keep them in the freezer until you are ready to prepare them. We are LOVING them! Everything we have had has been delicious. Tate and Mimi were a HUGE help and I couldn't have done it without them! The meals are for families so we split them with the girls and I can't say thank you enough for all of their help! I looked like a crazy lady at the grocery store and felt like one after seven hours worth of cooking! It has been so nice though coming home and not having to fully prepare a meal and not having all of the dishes to do... go ahead... TRY IT!

Labor Day Weekend...

Friday we loaded up and headed to Fredericksburg Tx to celebrate Madisen's QUARTER OF A CENTURY Birthday!!! Her hubby and our good friend James organized the whole thing to be a surprise for her! Most years we spend her birthday at Girls Weekend but this year we had GW in July so I was thrilled to still be able to get to celebrate with her!

When James first asked us to go I thought no way no how will I get Jeff Stevens away from Corner Bar on the start of college football weekends... But I had to ask... WHAT! He said YES? Could my ears be deceiving me?! This was music to my ears and he deserved a hug around the neck! Eek now the hard part would be keeping the secret from Mad and deciding what I should wear.

I have always wanted to go on a wine tour and stay at a Bed and Breakfast in Fredericksburg so this was the perfect opportunity to do so!
Jeff and I arrived before James and Mad so that we could get the key and be there to surprise her. I wanted to jump out and yell SURPRISE when she walked in but Jeffrey thought we would scare her senseless if we were in a dark bed and breakfast yelling out at her when she least expected it... He made a good point. So instead as they walked up I turned on the porch light and threw the door open and said surprise!!!! Her face was priceless... She looked very confused ha.
The Baylor v TCU game was in full swing so we went to Buc's bar just around the corner to play shuffle board and watch the game. So proud of my Baylor Bears for pulling off the win!

Saturday morning we went to the best little breakfast place called the Sunset Grill. We all loved our meal but must admit we were all jealous of James and the deliciousness he ordered! He got Eggs Benedict but not your ordinary version... Right in the middle of his English muffin and egg was a crab cake!
After breakfast we watched the first half of the Bama game then went to Becker Vineyards for a wine tasting and grape stomp! I was in heaven. 1) I LOVE wine! 2) Since seeing the I Love Lucy episode as a young girl I have been determined to go to a vineyard and stomp grapes... Dream come true! So much fun! After our stomp and tasting we sat on the porch and enjoyed some woodfire pizza.

That night we went to Crossroads Steakhouse for dinner, more wine and the boys even had a few "old fashion" drinks in true Mad Men style. After we returned to the B&B to watch the end of the LSU Oregon game and called it a night.

I do not know how we got so LUCKY but my girlfriends and I must have done something right because our significant others had no trouble becoming quick friends!
This weekend was so much fun and I did not want it to end. I miss our couple friends so much living in CS because most of our friends here are boys and single! Rach, I know you can relate ha! No dinner dates, game nights, or bowling with other couples for us...unless Erica and Daniel come in town or we go to Corner with Mike and Rach. Mel & Marsh, Mendy & Alex feel free to read this and be very jealous y'all missed out this weekend haha...just teasing! Looking forward  to spending time with you all in the upcoming months!

HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY MAD! We LOVE you!

Busy Bees...

Things around here are wonderful but busy... Not slowing down anytime soon so were just enjoying every minute! Last week I drove to Waco after work on Tuesday to see Jeffrey. I had a pretty horrible day and just wanted to go spend some time with him. It did the trick! We went for a dinner date, shopped at Spice Village and went to bed early! Ahhh it's the little things! Wednesday morning started off with a bang! I went for coffee at my favorite little place... Common Grounds! Then I got nostalgic and drove around campus... BEAUTIFUL! Love Love Love Baylor!

Tate came in town and we went to Home Depot to get stuff to make some beer pong tables. The one day it decides to rain in College Station it has to be the day we decide to be handy! Stopped at the red light at a main intersection by my house, winds up to 50mph, our boards stood no chance... They blew into the back windshield, over the top of my truck and landed smack in the middle of the intersection!!! Perfect! Luckily a nice young man in the car behind us stopped to help as others honked and looked on!
Thursday Mom and Chandra came in town for the BIG move... Tate is officially in her apartment! Woo hoo! The weekend was filled with getting things decorated and organized!

Sunday I drove to Houston bc I had an early morning flight to Pittsburg Monday morning. The oil show is fun, the weather is amazing, we made it back to our favorite place Carl's Tavern and I'll be home just in time for the long weekend. Theres only one small problem... The hotel has Sleep Number beds and I have no clue what my sleep number is! Last night I tried 15, 25, and 35 and still was not quite comfortable. Lets hope tonight I get it right, maybe I'll even try the other bed ha.

Going away for the weekend with Jeffrey and coming home Sunday just in time to go to the SMU v aTm game with some friends! Ahhh life is good!

Friends, food, and Football...Favorites!

This past weekend was so much fun! Friday Martin and Rhonda came to CS to move Michael into his apartment. We started out at Chuys for dinner and then took them to Corner bar and to have a pickle juice shot! It was so nice to have a little piece of my Abilene life here in CS!

Saturday Jeff and I went to Dallas to see friends and take our engagement pictures. SO MUCH FUN! Our photographer happens to also be a good friend of ours and is so sweet and talented... Jordi Bounds we love you and are so thankful for all of your hard work and time!!! I can't wait to see all the pictures!
After pictures Jordi, Jeff and I met Mendy,Alex and Brady at Idle Rich Pub for a night out. Made me slightly wish we lived in Dallas so we could see these four more often! Time will tell hah.

Sunday Jeff and I went to Kona Grill, shopping, and to see The Help. Such a good movie that I would definitely recommend seeing! That afternoon we drove to Arlington to my dads restaurant, The Fishbone, for some dinner and drinks with the Harrisons, their roommate Ashley, the Bounds, our roommate Cameron, before the game. Once at the stadium Peyton and his roommate met up with us and it was so much fun even though The Boys lost.

Today starts Jeffreys away rotation in Waco, two weeks away... What will the circus and I do without him?!? Possibly something productive? Possibly eat junk food, watch chick flicks, and party with Tate?! You be the judge! ;D

All things recent...

Last week I went to Abilene to spend time with Mel and her precious crew! Marshall was out of town for work so I went to lend a hand. I was absolutely ecstatic about staying with them... You see I was in Nuggs face 24-7 for the entire first year of her life reminding her that Im her favorite and to say Nonnie... Ive got some major catching up to do because the boys are two months old and it was my first time to see them!!! They had some catching up to do on Nonnie time! Don't panic I made sure to smother them with love and attention while I was there! I loved getting to spend time and catch up with Mel!

Blue nails...check

(Not Pictured bc I left my camera at moms... Fail)
Blue Nonnie shirt...check

Sad to say I never actually wore my Nonnie shirt in a picture with the boys... Sigh... It's not like we were busy with 3 kids under the age of 2 or anything haha

Since I live in College Station and Aggie stuff is in abundance I decided to buy Laney and the boys some aTm outfits! We had a short lil photo shoot and I'm so glad we did! Look at these 3 sweeties!

Friday Kaley came over to Sus's (my mom's) house to swim! She brought her twins (who are a month an a half older than The Morris boys) and her little boy Creed and it was such a fun afternoon! Loved getting to see them!

Then this past Sunday, August 14th, was my mom's Birthday!!! So glad I got to be there to celebrate with her! We went to Perinis and Alison and Michael joined us! After dinner we went back to moms house and enjoyed some time drinking beer by her pool... Even Madisen and James came over to party with us!

I love you mom and hope you had a fabulous birthday!!!

I came back to CS on Saturday and had the best Sunday Funday in awhile! Possibly EVER! It all started with brunch, mimosas, La Bodega, followed by Los Cucos Bar, going to see 30 Minutes or Less, the bar at the Bryan Movie Theatre, playing darts at Carneys Pub, Watching Big Brother, and Playing Password... Me and Erica vs the boys! We dominate even when outnumbered!

August 13th marked 1 year since I moved from Abilene to CS... Wow it has flown by! I am so grateful I was able to move and be here with Jeffrey and still keep my job! Thanks Dad!
I am so excited that in just 6 short days Tate is moving to CS! I cannot wait to see her everyday most days! My how I've missed her being part of my daily routine!!!

Im finally recovered from all the fun of last weekend and back in my usual routine...can't believe it's already here again! Bring it on Friday!

July...

Wow! I cannot believe July has come and gone!
Here is a look into our July adventures...
Tate came to town! One of my favorite things! My how I miss her!

We went to the lake a few times...

Mason made All Stars and his team made it to state! So proud of him!
And take a look at this little bleacher babe! She is the little sister of one of the players and I think she is such a doll!

The Houston Dynamos v Seattle Sounders MLS game in Houston

Cake tasting and linen selection in Austin... So thankful for all of Erica's help with wedding stuff and have loved getting to see her so often!

Manicures and pedicures with Emma!
This was soooo fun! I loved getting to spend a little time with Emma by herself. She was so grown up and polite! What a little lady! I feel sure this will not be our last trip to the nail salon together and look forward to taking Georgia as well!

Things are super busy around here with wedding planning taking up most of my time outside of work I leave little time for much else online... This explains my lack of blog posts but again I say... I'll try to be better ha. We've also been spending tons of time organizing the garage and cleaning out closets... Out with the old and in with the new...
Look at these little gems that recently found their way into my closet! I have been wanting them since last fall and can never find my size... Thanks Jeffrey! I LOVE them and you!

Only five Saturdays until college football starts!!! Yes we are counting down the days at our house.
32 days until Alabama and Baylor kickoff
34 days until SMU kickoff
AND we didn't forget about our favorite NFL team...
41 days until Cowboy kickoff

Right now I'm off to take care of a sick puppy... Poor Beckham has been sick since Saturday and had to get a shot today :(

Happy Monday blog loves!
