Wedding Sneak Peek...

WE DID IT!!!

Saturday, November 19th we tied the knot!!!
It was PERFECT! Everything about it was just what we wanted and absolutely beautiful!
Let me rewind... Last Wednesday Rachel and I started making the babies breath balls. These little jewels were a little big pain in the behind... luckily they were gorgeous so we continued to make them. They took much longer than expected to complete so we started to stress. Thursday we recruited Tate and Mimi to come help us and I must say with two more sets of hands we were like machines. We finished the floral balls, floral monogram, painted and stuffed the welcome bags, processed all of the flowers, made some of the bridesmaids bouquets and loaded the car. Wish I had remembered to take a picture of Jeff's car once we had it loaded down because it was quite comical. It was like playing Tetris making everything fit as we loaded it.

Friday was a whirlwind! It started at 7am and did not slow down until late that night. Rach, Tate and I drove to Austin early in the day to prepare the rest of the bouquets and centerpieces. Erica, Daniel, Mom and Chandra met us there to help and things were going much faster than I ever dreamed of! Thank goodness for amazing friends and family!

The rehearsal was supposed to start at 5 but due to traffic and road construction not everyone could make it on time... and by not everyone I mean Jeff and my dad to be specific. They did make it however and everything fell into place perfectly! We even had a little down time to enjoy some champagne before going to the rehearsal dinner. My mom had rented a limo to take some of us to and from the rehearsal dinner and I was so grateful for that so we did not have to drive and could really enjoy the evening.
Jeff's parents, Sid and Vicki, hosted the most amazing rehearsal dinner for us at Stubbs Bar B Q in Austin. It was so nice to have all of our friends and family gather at the place we met 2 1/2 years ago to celebrate our marriage.

Jeff's poor Mom broke her foot two weekends before the wedding... then oddly enough my Mom fell after the rehearsal and broke the same bone in her foot that Vicki did :(

More pictures to come from the wedding day!

Happy Birthday Jeffrey...

Yesterday we celebrated this guy...
Isn't he handsome!

Anyway, he turned 26 yesterday!
Friday night he and my dad went to Shreveport to have a little guys night out gambling and what not.
Saturday we went to lunch with my dad, worked on stuff around the house, watched college football, and then had a Birthday Eve dinner like no other!
I made basil mozzarella and tomato salad, olive bruschetta, chicken spaghetti (maybe I'll get around to posting the recipe later today), and a coconut creme pie! I even made extras of everything so my sweet sissy could have some the next day! I ate waaayyyy too much but thoroughly enjoyed every bite.

On his special day we went to breakfast with the family and then spent the afternoon watching NFL at Mike and Rach's! It was nice and relaxing... and was a plus that I got to see Rach so we could go over our crazy week and things that still need to be done before this Friday!

Wedding is in just 5 days!! AHHHHH I better get off this computer and get busy!

Our Roozie Girl...

Last week we lost a member of our family circus...

We found out about 3 weeks before that Roxy had been suffering from renal failure. I was a basketcase! We took her home and were determined to help her get well. We gave her an IV three times a day, fed her special food and gave her lots of love and attention... even more than usual. Last Wednesday she had to go see a feline internal medicine specialist at the vet hospital here in town and the news was what we feared the most... She was in pain and there was nothing left to be done. We were left with no choice but to put her to sleep and I can honestly say it is the hardest thing Jeff and I have ever had to do. We miss her so much and still can't believe she is gone. She was the most loving and caring cat to us and the other animals, such a little momma to Rex and the pups.

We love you Roxy girl and are so sad to see you go but so happy you are no longer suffering!

Crafts Galore...

I have so many crafts on my mind these days with so little time to spare... If only work didn't stand in the way! Rachel and I recently purchased this little gem...

Ahhhhhhh! It's finally here and I can't wait to get my hands on it!
I've got two parties to plan for the beginning of the year and multiple things that are a must for both...

I also am getting married in 10 days, Rach and I are doing the all of the flowers and I have three T-shirt blankets to make so I better get busy! Stay tuned...

Landrie's Birthday...

My precious little cousin turned 6 last Friday! I remember being in my dorm room and getting the call from my Papa telling me Aunt Cat was in labor. I rushed to College Station to get in the car with Aunt Sharon and Uncle so we could go to Houston to see her! She's had us all wrapped around her finger since then! She is sweet, sassy, girlie, beautiful, and I can't believe she is already 6 years old! Mom and I went to Lake Jackson for the weekend to celebrate with her!

Saturday morning we went to Landrie's soccer game and gave out cupcakes for her birthday after the game. She had the biggest crowd there by far... in fact there were more of us in our family/Landrie's fans than the rest of the teams families combined haha. After the game we went to eat for my cousin Don's birthday which was on Sunday and he turned the big 1-5!!!

It was a big day for Jeff Alabama....They played LSU and the game was a big one, the biggest this season! I wasn't watching the game with Jeffrey at Corner or watching from Bryant Denny Stadium with Erica, Daniel, Mike and Rach but I WAS watching! This was the second year in a row for a little heart break for all the Bama fans but hopefully we will get the chance to play them again very soon ;D...ROLL TIDE!
This is the scarf that Alison and her grandma made me for my birthday! Isn't it so cute!!! I just love it! (Please ignore my dirty hair, little kids soccer games come early in the morning)

I had a wonderful weekend with the family and such a fun time traveling with my mom! Now I'm back in CS, working, tying up loose ends for wedding stuff and making 30 to do list along with a million check list so I don't forget anything for or before the wedding ha!

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig...

Monday I left CS around 5:45am and headed to Houston to catch a flight to Lafayette for an oil show. Fog in Dallas threw my entire day of travel into a total disarray! Ended up spending multiple hours at the airport, missing my connection, having to fly to New Orleans and drive two and a half hours to Lafayette... LONG DAY! Luckily the rest of the week was much less stressful and quite fun. I had time in the evenings to relax at the hotel, catch up on blogging and eat tons of excellent Cajun food!

Friday I flew back to Houston, met my sister at the airport, went to pick up my dad at the office, and then went to the mall to do some damage to his pocketbook ;D
We had Cheesecake Factory for lunch and then stayed the night at Hotel ZaZa. Saturday morning was fun and refreshing! Started off with a massage at ZaZa and then had a nice brunch at Benjy's before we headed back to CS. That afternoon I did one of the things i love the most...watched football at the house with the circus and Jeff. Hope everyone is enjoyed the weekend with their loved ones as well!
